About this site
MintGuard Review UK is run by the team behind MintGuard. We're not an independent testing lab, and we want that to be clear from the first line.
We built this site because people search for reviews and comparisons before they buy a mouse or rat repellent, and copycat sellers were filling those searches with misleading pages. Here we explain what MintGuard does, where it fits, where it doesn't, and when another option, or a professional pest controller, is the better choice.
Our editorial policy
How we write
- Every guide starts with a direct answer, then explains the detail in plain English.
- We write for real UK homes: kitchens, lofts, garages, sheds and cars.
- We say what MintGuard can't do, not only what it can.
How we check facts
- Product facts (ingredients, how long balls last, prices, the guarantee) come from the official shop.
- Advice on rodents, pets and poison links to independent sources such as the RSPCA and the rodenticide stewardship scheme (Think Wildlife / CRRU).
- Where evidence is mixed, for example on how well scents repel rodents, we say so.
Reviews and ratings
- We never invent customer reviews, names or star ratings.
- Scores on this site are our team's own assessment and are labelled that way.
- Customer reviews will only be published once they're verified.
Updates and corrections
- Each page shows when it was last checked.
- We review pages at least every season, and whenever prices or product details change.
- If something is wrong, we fix it and update the date.
Links
- We only link to the official shop, mintguard.co.uk, for buying. We don't take payment for links.
- For room-by-room advice on getting rid of mice and rats, our guide site mintguarduk.com goes into more detail.
